SOUTH LANARKSHIRE BEELINE TO NATURE PROJECT
This innovative project is being delivered across the four localities in South Lanarkshire in partnership with Clydesdale Community Initiatives (CCI), Larkhall Community Growers and Grow73.
The project aims to engage the unengaged in nature and raise awareness of the climate emergency within local communities.
The project is working towards connecting South Lanarkshire through a BeeLine throughout the area.
There’s been lots going on in East Kilbride, connecting outdoor organisations, organising new grow beds for groups and helping to dispel the myths about the climate emergency. And engaging local adults and children to join the BeeLine by planting packets of seeds.

NATURE PRESCRIPTIONS
The Nature Prescriptions project is based on the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) model who piloted nature prescriptions as an alternative way to improving mental health and wellbeing.
Nature Prescription starts with a conversation encouraging and supporting individuals to connect with the natural world to benefit their mental and physical wellbeing.
Complementing other health interventions, the conversation is supported by a prescription leaflet and an East Kilbride calendar full of mindful ideas and suggestions to enable people to explore ways of connecting to nature that are personal and meaningful to them.
It is free and easy to use, and is based on accessible, self-led activities that people can do from home, on their own or with others; and that aim to cultivate lasting connections with nature that inspire a desire to nurture and protect it.

ACCESSIBLE AND INCLUSIVE ACTIVE TRAVEL (CYCLING, WALKING AND WHEELING)
All-Ways Active is raising awareness and promoting accessible and inclusive active travel options in East Kilbride. Our project raises awareness of accessible and inclusive walking, wheeling and cycling options available to everyone, regardless of mobility challenges, language barriers, familial responsibilities or prohibitive costs.
A launch event will be held in September followed by awareness raising sessions in local neighbourhoods in East Kilbride.
We will also be offering guided walks and cycles which will be aimed at people who find it difficult to participate in walking and cycling for many reasons.

PARKBATHE
Parkbathe sessions are a great way to get outdoors and walk, absorb and de-stress surrounded by nature.
The sessions are held in different areas and include joining a slow, silent, mindful walk through a lovely setting, while listening to sounds and soaking up the atmosphere.
