Linda Fabiani
Chairperson
Linda has represented East Kilbride as an MSP from her constituency office in the heart of the town centre and all the way to the floor of the Scottish Parliament. Working closely with Healthy & Active during her political career, on retirement, we were very fortunate to have Linda join the Board to continue her work in ensuring the local EK community has a strong voice.

Simon Carey
Vice Chairperson
Simon brings many years of experience in management within local government latterly within South Lanarkshire having responsibility for strategic anti-poverty programmes, initiatives to improve employability and skills, and support and funding of the voluntary sector.

David Smart
Director
David has over 25 years of experience as an independent consultant working in the Third Sector across East Kilbride and Glasgow. With over 250 consultancy assignments for clients in the public, voluntary, and private sectors under his belt, he offers excellent support and vision across many of Healthy & Active’s current projects and ambitions.

JAMIE MCCAHILL
Director
“Jamie has over 20 years experience working as a physiotherapist in the NHS, professional sport, public services and has been running a private physiotherapy clinic for last 15 years. He has a specific interest in employability/occupational health services and in the promotion of the health benefits of work. As a physiotherapist the goals of improving health through activity and social inclusion make Healthy and Active an ideal fit”

GREGOR MCKENZIE
Director
Gregor has lived in EK for over 30 years, his working background includes the Merchant Navy and the Police service, where he served for 30 years in a huge variety of roles, attaining senior management command level.
During this time, he also served within Local Authorities, and with Government, and on boards in the leisure industry, services for people with disabilities and CCTV services.
He has a very personal connection with Healthy and Active as his wife was a service user, which inspired him to first join the board in 2016.”

Gillian Law
Director
Gill has over 25 years of experience in the third sector. Throughout her career, she has helped various organisations across Scotland, specialising in funding, projects, services and community development, and providing support to Scottish Charities, Development Trusts and small businesses.
