HOME SUPPORT SERVICES
Our Home Support services help people to remain independent at home by offering help with prescriptions, grocery shopping, ‘Keep in Touch’ calls, telephone befriending and online activities including yoga, tai chi and gentle movement classes.
Volunteers help to deliver prescriptions and groceries, covering all the supermarkets in East Kilbride, letting people enjoy food from their chosen supermarket.
‘Keep in touch’ calls happen regularly and are often a quick chat to make sure everything is okay. However, there’s also more intense support when needed, for example support to connect with local activities because of a loss of confidence, bereavement or recovering from illness. Support is also given to people who are experiencing loneliness and isolation and mental health problems.
The team that delivers our Home Support services have vast experience and provide a vital support to local people.
