Lesley MacIntyre
Chief Executive
Since 2008, Lesley has been integral to the charity’s growth from a singular shopmobility service to a vibrant and growing organisation, and in recent times anchoring itself in the heart of the East Kilbride community. As Chief Executive, Lesley is hands on with every element of our stability and growth.

Sharon Granger
Development Worker
Sharon has been an integral part of the team for the last 7 years, working closely with Lesley to ensure our services are reaching those who need it and working to create partnerships with organisations across South Lanarkshire.

Julie Myles
Operations Co-Ordinator
Julie started with Healthy and Active in November 2023 and quickly impressed the team with her organisation and keen eye for detail. She has worked in the third sector for over four years and is a known face in the community.
Julie looks after all things operational, keeping Healthy and Active the well-oiled machine that it is, and can be seen spending her time between the office and the meeting place.

Doreen McLean
Service Supervisor
Doreen is the heart and soul of our Community Cafe – The Meeting Place. A huge presence in the community, Doreen goes above and beyond to ensure a friendly welcoming space for anyone who needs it. Looking after our cafe and shopmobility services is a big task but Doreen always takes it on with a smile.

Aaliyah Sarwar
Administration Assistant
Aaliyah joined us as part the of Kickstart programme, and has grown into her role supporting the administration and project teams. Her kind and professional manner has made her a favourite with our service users, who know she is always working hard to make sure they have the support they need.

Lynda Rooney
Service Advisor
Lynda joined as part of the Kickstart programme and has established herself as a key part of the Community Cafe alongside Doreen. Supporting the delivery of our cafe service and shopmobility, always with a warm welcome and time for everyone.

Allan Dick
Service Advisor
Allan was a Volunteer with us before joining the team, and has quickly become Mr. Shopmobility – keeping our fleet of equipment organised, maintained and assisting Doreen with ensuring the service runs smoothly for everyone who needs it.

CLAIRE LEES
Claire has recently made a return to the third sector after running a third sector Social enterprise, ‘Make a house a home DIY & Wellbeing project’ which ran for four years within East Kilbride in partnership with South Lanarkshire college.
Currently, Claire has joined us on a part time basis and the rest of her time is spent studying business management and marketing at university where she is working towards her marketing degree.
Claire is passionate about community outreach and encourages multi sector collaboration to address and improve local social and environmental issues. We are happy to have Claire and her experience onboard.

James Young
James started as a Shopmobility volunteer and quickly impressed our shopmobility manager with his hard work and dedication. After leaving volunteering to go to a job, James has returned to us on a part time basis.
A firm favourite with our mobility service users as well as our café users, James is a friendly face to all.
With his previous experience and positive attitude that we know James will bring to this role, we are delighted that he is back and part of the team.

ANDREA DORAN
Project worker
Andrea is the Project worker for Sustainability and Green Health, and is our contact for the BeeLine to Nature, Active Travel and Parkbathe projects. As a Horticulturist and Wellness Practitioner, she brings both practical growing experience and a comprehensive understanding of just how beneficial connecting with nature is to our health and wellbeing. She is an enthusiastic advocate for protecting and nurturing green spaces, sharing how even small actions can have a big positive impact.
