Led by four community organisations, this ambitious project aims to better connect communities with nature, protecting and enhancing green and natural spaces that matter to them. Through a range of nature-based programmes, the project will engage the unengaged, create a deeper connection with nature, and foster positive behavioural change towards the environment.
Aimed at connecting people with nature and promoting pro-nature behaviour, the project will be delivered across South Lanarkshire, encompassing rural and urban communities, and aims to address the area’s unique geography and habitats.
Clydesdale Community Initiatives, Healthy and Active in East Kilbride, Grow73, and Larkhall Community Growers will work together to engage communities in nature-based programs, protect and enhance green and natural spaces, and foster a deeper connection with nature.
The involvement of Healthy and Active will ensure that the community’s health and wellbeing is at the forefront of all activities. By promoting physical activity, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices, we will be able to develop and deliver educational aspects of the project that will contribute to improving the health of the community.
